PLAV'S LAKE

Welcome to Lake Plav, the largest glacial lake in Montenegro.
Ice and snow remain on Prokletije until June, and the water from the mountains creates streams and rivers that together form Ljuča, a river that flows into the lake.
During the summer the water is warm enough for swimming, while in the winter the surface freezes over and you can walk on it. The lake is located at 907 meters above sea level, with an average depth of three meters and a maximum depth of nine meters. Its surface is 2km².

The river Lim flows out of it.
The raft on the lake is an attractive swimming area, a place for pedal boats, kayaks or boats.
Lake Plav is rich in fish and is a paradise for sport fishermen (flyfishing).
Lake Plav, the rivers Lim and Ljuča are a true paradise for sport fishing. Every angler's dreams and wishes are fulfilled here, with whatever technique he wants to fish. Fish that can be found are: bream, pike, endemic "mud" trout, grayling, brook trout, sable or chub.
