WALKING ON SNOW SHOES

The trail for walking on snowshoes "Paljevi" is the first of its kind in Prokletije. It is located on the Kofiljača mountain, not far from Plav, in the locality of Paljevi. The track has the shape of a figure eight. It is 6.6 kilometers long and can be crossed in about five hours.

The starting point and the end of the trail is the "Zuvdijin Konak" cottage. The cottage can be reached from Plavo in half an hour's drive on a gravel road.
The first part of the trail leads through a spruce forest, and reaches the clearing "Hotska kodra", from where there is a view of the villages of Hoti and Zabelj. The ascent that leads along the edge of the forest, across small clearings and through woods, passes the places "Soljilo", "Konjski obor", and "Jezerce". That's the first round of the figure eight, and from there you can head back towards the cottage. In order to overcome this section, it takes about two hours of walking. During the summer, this part of the trail can be covered in an hour.

The forest road and drivers continue to the viewpoint "Bikina česma". It is the highest point of the trail. From there there is a beautiful view of the mountain Horolac, and further towards Gusinje, all the way to the crown of the high Prokletije.
From Kofiljača there is a beautiful view of the frozen Plav Lake, Visitor mountain and Plav.

On the way back, the path follows the forest road.
After passing through a part of the forest road where the path extends in both directions (500 m), the path separates and descends through the forest towards the "Zuvdijin konak" cottage.
